Deep red/purple in the glass, the nose delights with violet and floral notes. As a 2018 vintage Barossa shiraz, expecting a bold style it surprised. The fruit was evident – plum, spice and white pepper and the stealth winemaking complimented the old and new oak together with a touch of MLF. The palate is full bodied and layered with a sweet balance. The finish was evident in the silky smooth delivery package. Enjoy it now, however it will be super delightful in 6 years. Leo Daly

Intense deep purple black in colour with aromas of blackcurrant with leathery spice, cedar cigar box, tomato bush and hints of sweet vanilla. A very interesting and complex nose. The palate explodes with flavours of a mixture of sweet berry fruits, pepper spice at front, soft but firm tannins some smokiness while being both multilayered and complex. The finish is long and well-balanced. Can be enjoyed now but will benefit from 8+ years in a cellar. Stephen Read
