Vortex Barossa Valley Miscela Rosso 2017

What an interesting wine made from the three Italian varieties of Montepulciano, Negramaro and Aglianico. Clear and bright ruby red in colour, leads to a complex nose with hints of black fruits, some vanilla, along with floral tones. Active tannins at the front along with white pepper spice, balanced by layers of fruit and finishing tight and clean. Stephen Read.

First impressions are what an attractive colour, clear and starbright pale pink. This leads to aromas of lifted strawberry, stone fruit, hints of confectionary complex and inviting. The palate is active and complex with mix of fresh red fruits balanced by good crisp green apple acid, finishing tight and lively. A great example of French Provence Rose. Stephen Read.
