The nose is lifted and complex with black cherries, violets, along with deep earthy tones and subtle spicy oak notes. Garnet with ruby tones in colour. Tight clean tannins start the palate followed by red cherry fruits, subtle spicy oak, complex and layered in a medium bodied mouthfeel, leading to a long finish. Well structured with good balance between oak, fruit and acid, showing its cool climate heritage. Stephen Read
