Pale ruby red to garnet in colour, clear and bright. The nose is greeted with aromas of cherries, strawberries, funky and earthy tones, some floral notes. While the palate has hints of strawberry, red fruits which combine to a medium bodied mouthfeel. There is some heat from spice at the front leading to a clean astringent finish. Stephen Read

Allegiance Wines The Artisan Reserve McLaren Vale Shiraz 2017
When your choice of Aussie full bodied Shiraz is either big bold Barossa or silky smooth McLaren Vale and your presence is the latter, this beauty is for you. Attractive in the glass showing rich ruby red and concentrated purple. The palate delivers white pepper, spice and dark plum. There is a lot happening here and I was delighted to discover some lingering and soft grippy tannins to complete the symphony. Leo Daly

Aromas of mint, cassis, floral tones and red fruits, with complex cedary oak and sweet vanilla on the nose. The colours are enticing deep, dense red with purple tones. In the mouth you find soft tannins with layered fruits of red berries, dark plum, along with well balanced acid, leading to a complex soft long clean lingering finish. Enjoy now but will benefit from 5+ more years in the cellar. Stephen Read
